← Back to BlogHow to Install Moobox as an App (No App Store Needed)
October 25, 2026
Moobox doesn't live in an app store — it installs straight from your browser. Adding it to your home screen takes under a minute, costs nothing, downloads almost nothing, and gives you one-tap, full-screen watching with our red-and-white M icon sitting next to your other apps.
On Android (Chrome)
- Open moobox.app in Chrome.
- Tap the ⋮ menu in the top corner.
- Tap Add to Home screen (on some phones it says Install app).
- Confirm with Install / Add. The Moobox icon now lives on your home screen.
On iPhone or iPad (Safari)
- Open moobox.app in Safari — it has to be Safari for this step.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add. Done — Moobox is on your home screen like any other app.
On a computer (Chrome or Edge)
- Open moobox.app.
- Look for the install icon at the right end of the address bar and click it, then Install. No icon? Open the browser menu and choose Install Moobox (Edge: Apps → Install this site as an app).
- Moobox opens in its own window and pins to your taskbar or dock like a regular program.
Why install it?
- One tap to your channels — no opening a browser and typing an address.
- Full-screen watching — no browser bars eating into the picture.
- It's the same Moobox — same free account, same favorites, synced everywhere you're signed in.
- Always up to date — there's no app-store update to wait for; you're always on the latest version.
Good to know
Installing adds a shortcut, not a copy of the site — so it takes up almost no space, and removing it is the same long-press → delete as any other icon. You'll still need an internet connection to watch, since every channel streams live.
Want the big-screen version too? Here's how to watch Moobox on your TV. And if you haven't yet: open Moobox and try your first channel free.
